    Antique / Vintage cigarette holder 1920’s
    Bovine bone
    Blue Guilloche band with tiny pink flowers
    Leather case with velvet lining
    Case stamped “Made in Germany”.The case has slight damage please see photos.
    Label in lid “AAA”
    4 inches long
    I found this in one of the 26 steamer trunks that I inherited from my mother in law.
    She was the daughter of George Shima also called the Potato King ,you can google him.
    She graduated from Vassar in 1923 and I can just vision her smoking small Turkish  cigarettes.
    Later she and her husband were the Japanese general consuls in Los Angels Hollywood.
    She Married Tomokazu Hori (google) in 1932 in Japan and they were assigned to Los Angeles from 1934 to 1937.From the photos I have it looks like a very glamours life.
