Obverse
: Four horses are depicted on the obverse, standing in front of a chariot. Above, in an ornately framed square, is the right facing portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "5 DOLLARS," "COOK ISLANDS" and "2021." A plaque above the horses' heads is inscribed with three Chinese characters representing the words "soldier and horse tomb figurines."
Reverse
: Illustrated on the reverse is a trio of Terracotta Warriors, each featuring the regalia and distinctive hairstyle associated with their military rank. "TERRACOTTA WARRIORS" is inscribed above, amongst a background patterned with bamboo stalks.
