    Description

    ITEM DESCRIPTION:  This is an antique, original brass bed warmer dating anywhere from the late 18th to early 19th century.  In another time, before electric blankets and forced air furnaces,  this would have been used by household servants to warm the bed under the sheets.   The handle can be detached with one screw for shipping purposes.
    You can see from the photos the handle end that goes into the brass bed warmer is wrapped with a kind of insulation material of some sort.   This is what separates original antiques from modern reproductions.   In overall very good condition.
